William's 1st Blue, San Salvador

William Fernandez, some know from "In The Bite Magazine", others know him from "Stingray Tackle". Well, he caught his 1st blue and it was a nice one. Just received the pics from our San Salvador trip this month. Locally this week, one boat caught 4 sails, and another caught a 92 pound wahoo. My brother Ken, in Ocean City, Maryland went 3-4-4 on white marlin, and 0-4-1 on a blue Sunday. The Reel Candy website should be finished with some new content and pics this weekend. John's First

I met John while fishing in Guatemala this year. John had a great time cranking on sails, but never caught a blue marlin. Well his wait is finally over. John Tobias, caught his first marlin ever while fishing with the Reel Candy crew in San Salvador yesterday. John took the traditional dive once back at the dock.

Stuart, Florida Sailfish Season

Hot weather has most anglers bending rods on bonitas and small blackfins. A few sailfish have been caught in deeper water around Stuart Florida. There was a 52 pound wahoo caught off Jupiter, along with a couple smaller wahoo that came to the docks. We return to San Sal next week for our final blue marlin trip in the Bahamas for the season. The Reel Candy crew has had an exceptional week, fishing 3 afternoons and releasing 2 blue marlin. Tomorrow we fish an entire day and looking for the big ones. We will keep you updated since we finally have internet access.
